ok, so it's obviously been two months since either of us have blogged which means that we are
a) slackers
b) lame
c) too busy
and really, it's a combination of all three of those things. In that time, we finished school (for the quarter and are, therefore 1/3 closer to being done forever) and both started interning and working like ass. And I mean ass-we both have three jobs right now, for christ's sake.

Here are some photos to keep you feeling warm and close to us:

a last hurrah at wet bar in atlanta before i left for the city

my brand new neighborhood...in the snow, none the less!

Other than that, there's been the most random of random things happening: a stealing (which led to the taking of a certain Dominican NYPD's number by a certain group of girls), an awesome celebrity sighting (which led to possibly stalking, which led to her possibly running away from us), as well as plenty of pictures, and plenty more secret telling. All of this is starting to sound very "Sisterhood of the Traveling..."you know what, (which, btw, I can't even talk about Gossip Girl bc there is way tooo much to say but I will sum it up with this: I'm on Chuck's side), but we're having good fun, minus the traveling pants part.

And I promise that the next post will be much, oh so much, sooner.

stuff like that only works on agyness deyn and the like

sorry, lo. I know you've always been the semi-random friend of Lauren's who comes in and out of nowhere with no story really behind you but only moral support for Lauren which reached an all-time saccharin high last night, but what were you wearing when you guys went shopping at that store that they obviously used as a plug?

currently obsessed with

After making my way home from the all-too weird weekend that just didn't stop, I discovered that this brand New Target right by my house had finally opened after the who-knows-how-long construction period. Of course I just got in town, there's crap all over my floor, I have tons of schoolwork, etc. etc., but really-it's Target! Obviously I'm not going to pass this up.

So I used my excuse of needing to go to the pharmacy to go to the New Target. It was obviously really great and I bought all kinds of things like opaque tights and Post-It label things that I don't need, but I also went to the pharmacy. And if you've been to a Target pharmacy anytime recently, you probabely know what I'm talking about.

First of all, everything was really clean and well designed. Second of all, they had a damn lollipop tree (which I f-ing forgot to take advantage of, but whatever). Third, you get to pick a colour for the ring that goes around your prescription bottle! It's not like they have some colour they just give everybody unless they're five or anything! You get to pick it! No matter what! I realize how old this news is (like, years I think) but still, I am freaking out. Check out the following article , and let's give both Ms. Adler and NYMag (for the nice coverage) a round of applause. I mean, really.

http://nymag.com/nymetro/health/features/11700/

And on top of all of this, the pharmacists were really freaking nice. What more can you ask for, really? boinng!

currently eating

So, no...I am not currently eating a plastic Trader Joe's bag (good for the environment!) But I am eating their Oat n Wheat Bran Swirls cereal. I couldn't find a picture, because the only thing that came up was an article about the calories in that cereal which I didn't even bother to look at. Anyways, this cereal is totally where it's at. It's cinnamon-y and crunchy, and tastes a little bit like a cookie-but not in that weird Cookie Crisp way. (No offense, guys.) Anyways, this cereal is highly, highly recommended and I will be eating it until I OD and move on to another boxed carbohydrate obsession.

thanks to bluedot for the image.

horrible bloggers!

Sorry about the delay, everyone. Midterms were this week, which means that bed time for us was at about 8 a.m.

Of course, in the midst of all this, I had time to figure out two very disappointing things:
1. The Hills wasn't new
2. Gossip Girl isn't available online until Saturday. Saturday! And since this is the only way I can watch Gossip Girl because of the aformentioned class that I have on Wednesday nights, this is awful news.

I spent way too much time searching both web sites for some sort of accidental link that would lead to a new, full episode of The Hills as well as Gossip Girl. Come on guys, is it really so much to ask?

A few more things happened tonight that I won't go into great detail on, but definitely happened:
1. A car next to us in traffic featured something that looked like a wagging dog's tail. But guess what? It was certainly not that, but instead it was something else.

Yeah. That's right.

2. We found ourselves in a few situations that were lacking lights all together. Sexy as it seems, this crowd doesn't handle things like that well.
3. This was earlier in the evening, but I had someone ask me about a wrap-top and how it should be worn. But instead of just asking in that way, this woman actually said, "Am I allowed to tie this in the back?"

No, bitch. You're not. Especially if you have to ask. Because if you do tie it in the back, someone will come and fine you with their fierce fashionista judgement.

I mean really. I never thought I would say this, but people think way too much about things.

Anyways, gang, enough complaining and crazy stories for now. I promise that there will be more updates soon!

Dunder Mifflin Infinity

I still have hope that the fourth season of the Office will be fucking great! Unfortunately it has not been the best thing I have seen recently(although it is the only show worth a damn on television-sorry Robin, I haven't seen the Hills or Gossip Girls so I cannot comment on those two gems!). Anyroad, The first thirty minutes were awesome! Jim and Pam were "outted" by Toby (a little too soon in my opinion); Dwight and Angela break up which was too sad for words, but I have faith that it is not over for those two star-crossed lovers; Kelly's whole pregnant confession was ruined by the promo video (way to go NBC); Ryan is a dick, but I never really liked him anyway. Fuck the last 30 minutes (except for Hotts Mcgee in glee over Ryan getting turned down by Pam!) WHERE ARE THE PRANKS??? Where are the awkward Jim and Pam moments??? Jim and Dwight shenanigans must be present soon for crying out loud! Gimme gimme more!!! (ala Brit)I want more. Hopefully some of the writers will stop screwing the pooch and make it magical like it has been the past 3 seasons!

Jim Halpert is still Sex on(middle america) Legs!!!

you want more? all right, i'll give it to you

In the video below (thanks to brightcove.tv), we have Britney (bitch!)'s video for the obvious. All of this is really sad at this point, and I almost feel bad even talking about it for her sake. But I'm going to anyways.

This video really looks like an adult version of Kids Incorporated. On the real though, check out the lights, the exposed brick (but not in a loft-ish way), the leather-ish vest, and the long, way too dark hair. I'm waiting for Scott Wolf or whatever his name was to show up and show off those dimples.

Also, what exactly is going on? You think a story is going to happen the whole time with the blondies at the bar and then that dude that looks like one of my cousins, but nothing ever does. Plus, the blondies are laughing at her. I mean, what? I think there's already enough of that going around-no need to bit it in your video, Brit.

Also, this song goes on for about 45 seconds too long. All of the giggling and muffled talking/rapping/hip-hop guy who thinks she's cool and sexy but still "one of the guys" stuff is just too much for too long.

Sorry, baby girl. Better luck next time!

sorry that the last paragraph in the previous post is impossible to read. i had some issues that were obviously not resolved.

the good, the bad, and the f-ing gross

the good:
-the fact that i finally purchased and received Factory Girl after months of convincing myself that I needed to save money and instead spending the $20 (or like $13, thanks to amazon or whoever the f I bought it from off of amazon) at target, ikea, trader joe's, etc. etc. etc. I realize that this movie didn't get a ton of critical acclaim, but my personal obsession aside, Sienna Miller really does a nice job as the beloved Edie. I found it to be quite convincing, particularly for a character with so many ups and downs.
-receiving Nylon (who I am absolutely dying to work for, by the way) in the mail along with
Factory Girl. and I could not ask for more...bwawwhhh (guitar blare, a lá mccane or whatever)

the bad:
-the fact that I have yet to watch last night's Hill's because I have class while it's on. I know, who has class at 10 at night, but I certainly do. I saw the clip where Heidi leaves during dinner and Spencer acts like the douche ass he is on Gawker, but other than that, I'll have to watch it online tonight and report back with my feelings.

the f-ing gross:
-this guy. Read on hotelchelseablog.com and try not to freak out as much as we did. Or do, actually, because this is ridiculous.

Adore/Abhor

this is the first segment of Adore/Abhor ( people, places or things like I like and people, places or things that are fuck heads)...

Adore:
  • The Season Primere of the Office
  • the 6th floor of the UGA library ( 1920's Vouge)
  • Luella's Spring 08 collection
  • Halloween is coming up (I need a costume, and I am taking suggestions!)
Abhor:
  • Suburbs (I had a surprise visit today)
  • the fact that there will never be any new Arrested Developments
  • most girl's "Saturday night outfit" (designer jeans, heels and a "cute" top)
  • Forever 21 ( very disappointing the last time I went, which is sad because I rely on them for many things)
  • Jiffy Lube

The Office (FUN RUN)

ok, so for those of you who know, a certain contributor to this blog has a border - line unhealthy obsession with The Office. The 4th season premiere of the show came on Thursday night at 9 PM. We almost didn't make it to the show ;we drove straight from class and went through many obstacles like a gaslight, an unidentified house, cumbersome rocking chairs and my inability to operate remote controls. But nonetheless all of the obstacles were so worth the episode! There were defiantly scenes with kicking and screaming with joy! This much awaited episode was awesome (especially even after my fourth time viewing it thanks to NBC.com)! Here is what I liked and disliked about this episode:

thinks I liked:
  • Michael's opening at his condo was great! The soy milk, slumbering Jan and I love how it looks like she has already redecorated his condo in the three short months she has been there! Jan and Michael, such a train wreck, but I love it!
  • Ryan looks like a "savvy salesmen mafia boss" entirely in black.
  • Kevin's "are you kidding me". Perfect for Kevin!
  • The first scene with Jim and Pam (with the video). It was very reminiscent of old Jim and Pam (a la season 2). Very cute
  • I ALWAYS love Michael's intense hatred of Toby. pulling down his shorts, calling him Satan) so great!!!
  • Creed, as always was a freak! (cults, painkillers)
  • Jealous Jan. love it love it love it!
things I did not like:
  • ok, I know that Fancy New Beasly is being more honest and assertive and that is great, but she kind of a bully (to Angela) and she just wasn't the same Pam) And she looks little "too hot" for my taste.
  • It was a little slow moving. I don't know if the hour long episodes are good for every story line. The last 5 minutes were yawnsville.
  • I really LOVE that Jim and Pam are dating now, but their kiss was a little anticlimactic for me. I guess they have made such a big deal about them kissing before ( Casino Night), so this was very discrete.
so, as you can see for the most part I give this episode my approval! Can't wait till next Thursday!

I'm sorry, but people are right! This show is freakin' good! There's a Marisa, a Seth (gush), a Sandy Cowan, a Summer look-alike, though not an act-alike, and a Julie Cooper. The only thing I'm a little confused about at this point is Blair's "soldiers"...you know, the two girls who always look like they're overly styled to be trendy and different. I'm sorry, but it's totally not working for me. Other than that...hurrah for something to watch other than The Hills!

(Oh, and in case you missed the obvious, the show I'm referencing is Gossip Girls.)

there's nothing scarier than a small-town mall

So last night, a trip to the ever popular state university town took place. Maybe I should explain that we live in the city and choose not to venture out often for the following reasons:

1.We're both scared as ass of the country.
2. We're both originally from the suburbs and therefore bored/suffocated there.
3. Why?

It's not that we're close-minded types who don't like to leave the comfort of Starbuck's and god knows what else. That's actually not it at all. We just don't like to leave one of the only congregations of civilized people in the south-that being the larger cities.

Anyways, the point is that the real mission of the trip was to use their research facilities (which are quite good and open to the public), though it was obviously turned into an overnight stay with some "partying" involved. A wonderful time was had by all, but the only we could think was thank god I don't go to this school/live in this town. There are plenty of quality people, with quality things to say, and quality things to wear, but my god the others! "Little Pink Houses", by everyone's favorite heart attack patient, was heard twice. In one night. I haven't heard that song in years, and don't intend to for a few more.

As it turns out, several other "party-ers" out were wearing (or should we say "donning?") costumes, but the best part was that half of them didn't look like costumes, but instead cute outfits that someone with an ounce of individuality and/or courage would have put on. Either way, the crowd we hung out with was good, and the others provided for good conversation. You wouldn't think they loved in this town. Plus, the drinks were cheap.

We also bought a standing bird cage. Yes! A standing bird cage for christ's sake. Not that we have a bird, but it was only $25. I mean really. What more do you want?

This is the beginning of the beginning of the blog of two senior fashion students who are ready to get the f out of school, and Atlanta. So, please enjoy and keep the comments a-rollin'. boing!
